Maybe it was only a matter of time until after the first colored masks and those with all kinds of funny motifs, the first ones with integrated LEDs appeared. Hey, after all there are caps, backpacks and even glasses with appropriate lighting – we’ve seen it all here at China Gadgets. 🙂 So now an “everyday mask”/”mouth and nose protection”/face mask, whatever you want to call this piece of cloth. If you still want to stand out somehow in times when everyone wears masks, surely the right accessory.
Right at the beginning a small task I would like to ask all of us: Let’s not discuss about sense or nonsense of masks in the comments. Where masks are mandatory in any form, please wear masks. If there is no obligation to wear a mask, you can handle it as you see fit. You don’t have to say more about this when you read an article about LED masks on a website about Chinese gadgets and technology. Thanks. 🙂
So to the masks. The technique is well known: There is a thin LED panel between two layers of fabric of the mask. According to the description, the mask weighs 65 grams, significantly heavier than a normal mask, but still “light” enough to wear it at least for a short time. As always with such gadgets, there is an app that allows you to transfer ready-made pictures and texts or even your own creations to the display. But a button on the USB port of the mask can also be used to switch directly between different displays. Unfortunately, there is no information about washing the masks, which would be very important.
The mask is equipped with a rechargeable battery so that you do not have a cable hanging out of the mask. It takes two hours to charge, but should last up to six hours. Enough for shopping and the way to work. I would say it’s a great party accessory, but parties are not that trendy right now. If you buy such a mask you hopefully already know a purpose. Even if it’s just to show a LED smiley when you can’t see your real smile.
So, opinions please. Cool? Silly? Witty? Pointless? I think it is something different and better than some other “funny” masks you put on.
